ZHAO SHAO ANG (1905-1998) was granted various awards including gold medal at the Centenary independence World Fair (Brüssel 1930), associateship of the Chinese Academic Institute (Taiwan 1972), M.B.E. (Britain 1980), the ‘ART ACHIEVMENT AWARD’ of the Hong Kong Artists’ Guild (1991) and a doctoral degree in arts, with honours, from the University of Hong Kong (1994). ZHAO SHAO ANG’S works are exhibited all over the world: Shanghai 1929, Moscow, Paris, Berlin 1932-1933, Guangdong 1933, Hong Kong 1939, USA 1960, Singapore 1987, Germany 1989. |
